That's dumb. However, its the Fox's chance to create their own nationally renowned show. |

The Rockettes have regularly "skipped" years in various cities around the country to allow other traditional Christmas shows to regain their footing - Nutcracker, etc. - which often lose ticket sales when running alongside the R's Christmas show. If Detroit has the venue for them and ticket sales were good, they'll probably come back in a year or 2. |

I reluctantly went to the show this Christmas expecting a boring show for me. I left the show pleasantly suprised after seeing an excellent show. I would like to see it come back again. |

Let them go back to "ROTTEN APPLE" New York City! Who needs those Rockettes doing the Can Can anyway. Detroit can plan it's own Christman Specials for now on in at the Fox Theater. |

Don't expect a local show from the Fox Theatre, they are designed to do traveling National shows, not to develop local acts or companies. |

They're pulling out of Detroit and some random Missouri city. Glad we're in the same boat... Anyway, i'm glad I won't have to hear that commercial, and yes 9 years was a long time running. The majority of metro Detroit had to have seen it by now. I hope the Fox goes back to doing something really classy like the Nutcracker (although the Opera House has been doing great with that). Everyone knows that Orchestra Hall is the place to go for some great holiday shows... |

The Rockettes are in New York, and stay in New York, every year, especially at Christmas. The groups that come to various other cities are trained and licensed by the Rockettes in NY but really are clones. New Yorkers wouldn't put up with "sorry, no Radio City Rockettes Christmas show this year - they're in Detroit." BTW, the culture in NY is something worth considering for Detroit. NY draws masses into the city with old standbys (Rockettes) alongside dozens of new shows every year. Like every downtown, NYC has had its share of difficulties, but thrives nonetheless. Drawing out-of-towners from virtually everywhere, along with those from the burbs is one more thing for Detroiters to consider as they move ahead. |

Branson isn't a random Missouri city; it's one of the biggest entertainment tourist destinations in the county. |
