Yeah, I bet the 3-0 start and league leading homeruns helped in speeding the process up! That's good news! super d(motordetroit) |

So how hard did TV20 end up having to take it on the chin to get the deal? Did the Tigers end up easing off on their revenue demands? |

From the press release:
quote:Working with the Tigers, FSN also has acquired the rights to 15 additional Tigers games this season – starting in June – that will be televised on TV20 and a to-be-determined network of over-the-air stations throughout the state. Mario Impemba and Rod Allen will be announcing all the televised games for FSN Detroit and TV20.

TV20 needs to get their broadcasting act together. They cut to commercial before the last word of the national anthem ("...and the home of the.") You could hear the fly-over during the national anthem but they didn't show it. Then they return from a commercial break late. They stayed at commercial break for the first three pitches of the game. I hope they get better fast. |

Wow, that's even worse. FSN isn't exactly new to sports broadcasting. |

yeah TV20 is just putting the line feed from FSN with their ad spots right out over the air, but at least with channel 20 so many more fans get to see the home opener. I think TV20 will insert just a couple of spots to help pay some of the cost., but the Contours getting choped wasn't one of them. |

Not yet... :-| The cameraman just missed the 8th inning-ending play at first by trying to follow the runner advancing to second instead of the play by Polanco at first. He almost got them both in the frame but not quite. This production crew is a bit rusty. |
