HAH TOO Bad!!! Now the ghettohood in Detroit's far NW Side can live in peace without and gentrification bothering them. So far I don't see and signs that the ghettohoods of Old Reford, Brightmoor Heights, and Sandhill communities are deteriating. Neither as the neighbohoods or Redford TWP.

I agree, it is too bad.

Isn't there a Home Depot at 7 mile and Meyer's, just down the road? I'm a little puzzled as to why Home Depot was even considered as the major tenant.

Just down the road?

That's around seven miles down the road.

Not a unique thing for 2 to be so near. What's the distance between the 8 mile/Greenfield one and the one on Southfield road and what is it? 11 mile?

I can't think of a Home Depot at 8 mile and Greenfield... there once was one at 8 mile and Southfield, and yes there is one at 12 1/2 mile and Southfield. You're right about it being common for Home Depots to be relatively close to each other, in the suburbs at least. But considering how big of a deal it was when Home Depot opened that 7 mile and Meyers location, I wouldn't expect that they would open another in the same general area of the city so soon. Maybe somewhere on the east side. Not claiming to be an expert on the subject, just a casual observation.

I thought there were plans for a Target in that area. This is the first I've heard of a Home Depot. I guess the plans changed.

The one at 7 mile and myers is nice. I've bought a few things there. Although I have to admit there prices are very slightly higher than the one at Eastland.
