So you're saying that Michigan is worse than the two small-conference paps they get to play in the NCAA play-in game? I'm not defending Michigan not being in the NCAA Tournament by any means, but you know pretty much nothing about basketball if you believe that the field of 65 represents the best 65 teams in the country. |

The_aram, ........... YEP! LOL, that is the stigma that goes on all NIT teams. The may not be better than U of M talent wise, but they did what they had to do to get into the tournament. U of M pissed away that chance. And unless they have a huge comeback, they will lose the NIT title. |

If only Michigan was able to play for that automatic bid from the Horizon league. Then we could "do what we have to do to get in," as evidenced by our non-conference schedule The NIT gave Michigan's seniors a proper senior night. That's good enough for me. |

I am afraid that the Gamecocks were dominant right from the tip-off. South Carolina was no slouch. Do I understand that they beat Florida ( a final- four NCAA team playing this weekend ) TWICE during the regular season? I know they beat them once, and they also took dear old U of D by 30 points. |

I'm sending you an invitation to the NOT SPELLED CORRECTLY TOURNAMENT. Boy, did everything go wrong last night. The headline of today's Michigan Daily reads, in large, bold, font, "COCKBLOCKED." I laughed. |

yes--great photos, and spring drills are a sign of Fall. WhatIsay?? But 12 games in a row have got to be physically draining. I hope we have depth. Can't make Nov. 4 against Ball State--Big wedding that afternoon in the rock's family, that day being previously picked by #4 son and bride to walk down the aisle as it was an "open"date on the schedule. But all of a sudden, we schedule Vanderbilt (to have not one, but two games under our belt before ND), and the Ball State game gets shoved back to Nov. 4. jjaba-quit knocking the poor NIT. I was going to offer you 8 free tickets to M-Ball State on Nov. 4, but now you are going to pay dearly for them. Take 7 friends from Duke's Lacrosse team. They are looking for guidance. |

Vandy was scheduled because of the newly-mandated NCAA scheduling allowing for 12 games in a season. more home games=more revenue. And the NCAA stating that Michigan couldn't hold a game the week before what was supposed to be the first game meant they had to flip it into the bye week. let's look at it this way- 1997, Michigan has 11 games in 11 weeks. and goes undefeated. as far as depth, i'm most concerned about our depth at quarterback. Gutz transferring and Antonio Bass likely being gone for the season leaves Chad Henne... and... Jason Forcier, who has never taken a college snap. i'm just slightly concerned. |
