There seems to be some activity around the building, and chain-link fencing surrounding the perimeter. Does anyone know if this is going to be another residential or mixed-used development ?

I saw that.

He( or she whoever the owner is) booted out federal assistance residents about a year ago saying that they wanted to do something different with the property.

What happened with the top floor where the brick has been replaced with a few different colors? It looks like all five center windows should have originally had the same arch detail as the center window.

I like this place. It really stands out as you head east on Jefferson starting from around St. Jean.

I'm not expecting good things to come to it for a while, though. The demand for condo/loft living this far from downtown and in this depressed an area (albiet only 6 miles) isn't here yet, and this sort of conversion is where its ultimate success will lie. I bet the view of both downtown, the river, and the Pointes from the upper floors is awesome, though.
