what the hell happened to Fu Wah Express?! :-( that was my favorite quick lunch spot downtown...i was working down there the other week and i stopped by there and the glass doors were all newspapered off. no sign. no notice. no Hunan Chicken. nothin'! anybody know the skinny?

Fu wah had the biggest and best half orders. Loved them and will miss them.

LOL Cmu! i admit possible shutdown by the Board of Health did cross my mind...thanks for the info, guys. i am stunned that they would close down, as they were always packed at lunchtime. i can still taste that Hunan [Chicken?]! their waitresses were so sweet too. R.I.P., Fu Wah... :-( a sad day for Raygun.

Last month I visited a hurricane devestated part of New Orleans. On all of the buildings they mark how many animals they found dead in each house or building. A chinese restaurant had "7 dead cats" marked on it, I kid you not!

Lowell, i always worry about health issues when restaurants of any kind i like get shut down, but i did feel guilty for thinking that about Fu Wah because it was Chinese food. i never felt guilty thinking that about other places so i guess it's still perpetuating a stereotype in some six-degrees-of way. d'oh!
