I heard they are building the Downtown HQ AND rebuilding all dilapited Detroit neighborhoods through 50 year interest free loans. And they are bringing in 500,000 new residents to live in the new Rock Subdivisions (May as well go big if we are making stuff up)

Don't forget,

The Ilitch's secured a $350,000,000 loan and gave the cash to the city to pay our debts and keep us out of receivership.

The City of Detroit doesn't have to pay the loan back. It will be paid back through Motor City Casino profits.

I heard Macy's and Nordstrom will anchor the first and second floor retail along with smaller stores like Bath & Body Works, Bananna Republic, The Gap and a Cheesecake Factory. Taubman will manage the retail portion of the building.

I heard that Microsoft is relocating their HQ from Washington State and all their employees to a new 100 story building to built Downtown. Additionally, they are funding the Book Cadillac and the Fort Shelby renovations for visiting business associates. Also, they are providing interest free loans through Rock Financial to any employee to relocates to the City Of Detroit, no Suburbs. I am surprised this is not in the paper???

Neiman Marcus will be joining Microsoft in their new downtown location filling up the first three floors of retail. The will be joined by national retailers including Crate and Barrel, Willims-Sonoma, Coach and Z-Galleries. The development will also include an all new AMC-Star movie complex. These new retailers will be linked to the Rock Financial HQ via and underground pathway which will include Trader Joe's grocery store, Bombay Company and Pier One.

Just in from CNN, L Brooks Patterson has requested that Oakland County become a part of the City of Detroit with Kwame in charge of the whole shootin match. However, the City Coucil has rejected the proposal.

Additionally, all the remaining Suburbs have unilaterally decided to pay 30% MORE for their City of Detroit water, just because they want to.

Miners working in the salt mines under the city have discovered a massive oil reserve larger than any known old reserve on the planet. Gas prices are expected to fall to under $1/gallon within 3 years as Detroit overtakes the Middle East as the world's largest oil producing region. Taxes on the oil expect to bring billions in revenue to the City and State of Michigan who own the mineral rights. Exxon-Texaco announce plans to build a new corporate headquarters building in downtown Detroit moving thousands of works here from Texas.

More news

The Census Report estimates Detroits Black population will swell to more than 2 million by 2009.

Also 'African Town' future business owners Kwame Kilpatrick and Thabo Mbeki(South African President) proposed the building of a New Black Fist in the middle of 'African Town' 10 times the size of the Black Fist in Hart Plaza in the Middle of African Town to rise.

Mr. Kilpatrick stated.....

quote:

We want this to be a future monumental symbol of our power, similiar to the pyramids of the Motherland!

A longtime cork-town resident stated.....

quote:

If that happens I'm selling my house!

I hope the city DO get Rock Financial HQ in downtown. And if they do, I wanna see it on Grand Circus Park,Monroe Block or the old Hudson's Site.
I'm getting sick of looking at gaps and parking lots. Let's keep our fingers cross.

There are no Gaps downtown. You have to go to a mall in the burbs to see a Gap.
