When will the city say enough and make a move to try to make somethig positive come of one of Detroit's most famous ruins...Michigan Central station. Or will it always just be another forgotten piece of Detroit's traditional fabric.

Lmichigan- you mean waiting him out in the sense of waiting for his death?

Well, MCS is going anywhere for a while, that's for sure.

The land isn't worth bulldozing the building for, and from what I've been told the building isn't completely falling apart.

I thought he was referred to as "Matty." Manuel is his given name.

I've heard him called Matty, Manny and worse.
The only politician who does not roll over and do tricks for MM so far is Steve Tobocman.

Manuel "Manny" Maroun is the senior Maroun. His only child, son Mathew, is called Matty.

Since MCS is built like a rock to withstand the vibrations of trains going by constantly, it drives up the cost of demolition, at the same time is the reason why MCS is is decent shape for an abandoned building. The problem is, there is no economically feasible use for a large abandoned train station in the condition it is in.

Will any politcal figure in Detroit ever stand up to Manny Maroun? No, not as long as the politican keeps asking him for a donation to their campaign.

Question is the building going to become Detroit Police HQ?

That project died quite some time ago, and is definitely even more dead, now, with the shape the city is in financially.
