St. Anthony school in Belleville becomes the third Catholic school to close this year in the Archdiocese.

17 or 18 AoD schools closed last year, didn't they? Maybe some parochial schools were taken over by interestered parent groups. I haven't been following this much. I assume that they all will eventually close.

Messmer HS in Milwaukee was taken over in that manner many, many years ago by interested parents/donors. Located in the north inner city, its graduation and college admissions rates are far ahead of the rates in Milwaukee's public high schools.
