He damnwell should be in the Print Shop at Cass Tech, otherwise his detention will cause him to take a later Dexter bus to the Westside.

Motorcitymayor2006 is our winner. Congratulations.

Thank you for playing JJABA trivia. jjaba is amazed how quickly his adventures were discovered.

The winner should post their email address and jjaba will take it from there.

Thanks to jimaz, you find jjaba up in the cheap seats with his girlfriend during the VIP tour.
He kissed her on the strikes, she kissed him on the balls. (old Soupy Sales line.)

Also, of note, there's the Yankee Stadium legacy behind center field, actually Texas Rangers Offices. Imagine the view from your office.

So the Rangers chose Yankees and Tigers into the design of their stadium. Note that their Texas flag, not pictured, is actually above the American flag, a nod to the Lone Star nation.

jjaba, baseball fan.

jjaba---That trivia contest was a piece of cake.
But the two groundskeepers shown with the tarpaulin are Bobby Joe Greeley of Newark, New Jersey and George Allenson from the Bronx. So what do I win?

Rock, you're a day late and a dollar short. The one guy is Billy Joe, Bobby's brother. Allenson's name is Jorge Allenson Fernandez who dropped his father's name, Puerto Rican style, when he moved to Texas.

They're the finest diamond cutters in Texas.

jjaba.

AIW--the other two are Harry Statler from Manhattan and Jerry Beers from Toledo. That ought to be good for at least a Tim Horton bagel, though I await jjaba's sarcasm.

For his part, The Rock wins second prize in jjaba trivia.

The guy at the top of the flagpole is Jose'.
Amazing, when the Yankees come to town, 50,000 look at him and sing "Jose' can you see?"

jjaba, LOL. (Flag pole just out of view.)

Didn't Soupy have any other jokes? I seem to have heard this one a few times on here. :-)

That joke does pop up from time to time.
jjaba will send others along as they come along.

jjaba, remembering Sec. 24, Briggs Stadium at a quiet Tuesday day game in Spring.

jjaba is the Edgar Guest of the Forum. Between Jose stories and Burma Shave commercials, he keeps a close watch over us.
I am off to Kzoo in a hour. Second place should at least get me a $25 coupon for gas at any Leonard or Texaco station along I-94. LOL

As far as old Soupy jokes, beware of answering your doorbell, a pie in the face may be the result.

Love jjaba, he is the epitome of oral (ok, via his keyboard) history of a slice of Detroit's history. If he were to write a book, I'd happily stand in a line (I HATE even buffet lines) to have him sign my copy.

Jams, with your 2939 posts, you ain't exactly no slouch. Leeme know when you get to 3,000. jjaba will send you a prize.

Sending Grosse Pointe's The Rock money is like asking Portland to bail out Paul Allen's Trailblazers. Allen is the 6th richest billionaire in the country, just ahead of The Rock. jjaba ain't nothin' but your plain ole working stiff.

jjaba.
