This should be a treasure trove of pictures for you Wpitonya. It's Wayne State University's archive of the RenCen being built. Lots and lots of pics and info in the site: http://dlxs.lib.wayne.edu/cgi/ i/image/image-idx?sid=e851ac98 6d581b226c0d9b8b4403fd20;page=index;c=rcn How's the weather in SC? I hope it's better than what we're supposed to get. |

Probably not too helpful at this point, however the February 2006 issue of Architectural Record had a 10 page spread on the RenCen renovation. You could look on-line and see if they have a web version... Or check a local library? |

William--go to the library and get "The Geography of nowhere" by Wm. Kunsler, a tome on city planning, development and redevelopment. There are two chapters that are grouped as "a tale of two cities", namely Portland,OR (the right way) and Detroit (the wrong way). There is much information on the Ren-Cen, as built, that will be pertainent historical data to your work. |
