The clownsil chewing out LBP because he would not support a regional tax... as well as the media for even consulting LBPs opinion on the zoo matter...

I gotta agree with them there... what does LBP have to do with the zoo. It seems like the media was portraying Detroit as the child run amuck and LBP the reluctant dad...

curious, not that they are directly involved in this issue, but how come ficano and the macomb county exec (whoever it is) are never heard from on these contentious regional matters?

Perhaps because the zoo is located in Oakland County and he is the Oakland County executive. Sort of makes sense.

There is no Macomb County executive. There is, however, a chair of the board of commissioners (Nancy White).

... why would it matter if its in oakland county if the property is owned by the city of Detroit... ?

It's in Oakland County. L. Brooks Patterson, like every other American, is entitled to his opinion.

Besides, the unfortunate fact of the matter is that Patterson is the smartest, most rational and most regional-minded individual in this matter.

And that, more than anything else, should be a reason to recall the Detroit City Council.
