I'm considering moving back to Detroit to attend law school at Wayne St. Is there anybody here that might have useful information as far as appartments near campus goes? I'll probably be looking for a studio or a 1 bedroom and would like to pay about $450 or less per month. |

I just moved into the Belcrest (5440 Cass) and really like it so far. A one bedroom is a little bit more pricey than $450, but the building and the tenants are pretty cool. |

super_d, the WSU are still has all the "hood" amenities: corner drug dealers, roving prostitutes and bums...you just pay a premium for location (Message edited by gravitymachine on February 01, 2006) |

tndetroiter, I hope i didn't paint a terrible picture of the neighborhood for you. while i've seen plenty of bums, drug dealers, and the occasional hooker on my street (saw one get dropped off in front of the beehtoven on my way to work the other day), I not once had any personal security issues other than having my car stereo stolen over 2 years ago. |

Seward Street? That's more New Center area. If you want to be close to school and bars stick near Forest, Prentis, Hancock, Canfield. |
