I am watching the travel channel.There is a small feature on what is likely the original Fiat factory in Turin, Italy.The factory, according to the shows hostess was patterned after the Ford rouge plant.Now it is a mall with a luxury hotel.............I can see the Packard plant as a mall with a luxury hotel........anyone else?

The Turin factory was modeled after Ford's Highland Park plant, but much later, after Highland Park was considered to be an obsolete design.

Well, that's appropriate, because most Fiats were obsolete when brand new.

Sometimes they even ran.

Mock Fiat if you want, but they do have some nice cars.

Taken Sunday afternoon in Manchester.

FIAT= Fix It Again, Tony

Don't worry, the same smoky room dealings that resulted in the (illegal, improper) demolition of the first demo'ed building of the Packard plant are regrouping, letting the vandalism continue un-abated (on the city's watch) devaluing the property until "it has to come down now". One day that steamroller will start to move, then it's all over.
