since it was so nice outside yesterday I laced up my shoes and trekked around town for 3 hours to capture the progress. It brought a smile to my face to see all these people and to see the progression.
Next week is going to be fun times!

Great photos! Wow that CVS/parking structure is impressing me. I haven't been on lower woodward in a couple months and I'm wowed at how complementary that building is to it. I'll be there next weekend though.

Steelworker the new facade has been up since mid November, but they've been working it since July. I'm guessing you weren't downtown a lot during the day there's no way you could walk past and not hear them.

Detroit is looking spectacular! I am so excited about moving back to Detroit. It's been 5 boring years in the south and I'm excited about being at home to stay forever. I'll be moving in the midtown area and attending WSU to finish up school. I haven't been downtown since late November and can't wait to see all the progress. When I was there in November, I noticed a building on Woodward & E. Grand Blvd. has been renovated. I believe its a Lee Beauty supply store, and its the upper portion of that building that has been renovated. But Detroit looks good and I can't wait to go to all the events.

I have an important question: Where are they going to put all the porta-johns? :-) I don't think I saw any in the pics.

Economic stimulus. If you want to use a bathroom you have to go into a bar and order a few drinks first.

Excellent pictures. What's up with the snow machines? Are they having some kind of mini X Games?
