GREG VERRAS showed admirable integrity Friday eve (Jan. 27) by telling a multi-round group of guys "You already paid your tab" . . . . . . after they needlessly slapped $70+ onto the bar and headed for The Town Pump's door. Mr. Honesty had to convince them to keep the cash ("Really, dudes -- you paid before.) He got an extra $20 (I think) for his refreshing honesty. When this nearby beer-drinker commented "That wouldn't have happened in New York," Greg said he assumes "what goes around, comes around." Sean Harrington has a team full of solid folks . . . including Greg Verras ("it's Greek"), whom I met for the first time after that True Tale of Detroit played out. He's on days this week 'til 5 p.m., so stop by and meet someone with a warmly engaging barside manner + a clean conscience. Show him karma really does swing around. |

Duo - The bar the Town Pump (not me ) is a great place to go. It is even "friendly" to our kind of people. |
