"TripAdvisor is an online forum with frank comments by individual travelers who've stayed at hotels, and former guests' comments about the Comfort Inn Downtown ranged from "dirty" to "disgusting." Have there ever been any favorable comments in TripAdvisor about the Comfort Inn Downtown? In the past 2+ years, there were five reviews - all rated 1 on a scale from 1 to 5. guests' comments - "Comfort" Inn Downtown Still, it's rated 16 out of 22 in popularity. Wonder how the least-popular six are rated! The Dirty (half) Dozen? (Message edited by livernoisyard on January 24, 2006) |

Outstanding article! I hope some of you are sending emails to these journalists who are writing unbiased and accurately reflected articles about our city of Detroit. I just sent a thank you email to Ms. Jackson out in Seattle... It's very refreshing to see positive press about our great city! :-) |

[ Also posted on Thank you Detroit AP! thread ] Miami Herald sportswriter Michelle Kaufman also plays fair today under the head Despite weather, Super Bowl a Hot Spot: quote:Detroiters are well aware the national media will make fun of their gray, cold city, even though the Motor City is the only place on earth that can boast Motown and Greektown, Eminem and Kid Rock. If you think there will be nothing for Super Bowl guests to do in the days leading up to the game, think again. The city is hosting a 14-block Motown Winter Blast, which is being billed as ''The Hottest Place to Be!'' There will be concerts (in heated tents), an ice rink, ice sculpture garden, dog sled races, snowshoeing and a multilane 200-foot snow slide.
