Walking down Gratiot, I came across a huge tent being constructed. My guess is for some of the SBXL festivities?

Yes, 7.5 acres of a tent, including three separate kitchens.......there will be a 10,000 person party there.......

The D will become tent city. A tent or series of tents will stretch from Campus Martius to Hart Plaza. The longest distance one will have to travel without the protection of a heated tent overhead will be about 150 feet.

Im assuming thats to allow exhaust gases to vent out? Imagine the foot traffic that that area could attract if they put temporary tents along the whole sidewalk every winter... similar to area driving ranges...
