So, what's going on in and around town that night? I'm exploring my options.

Muggs/Hard Lessons at 5th Avenue Downtown. I think only $20 which is probably the cheapest you will get on NYE. The only place I know of without cover right now are the Beaubien/Detroiter. The Well won't be open. Bookies is $75...blah, blah, blah.
We will be bouncing around as best we can but will probably end up at the show.

It took me way too long to figure out what NYE stood for.

I figured the whole NYE acronym out a few days ago...since when did the evening need an acronym?

As for Flavor and the clock...check him out at the "Taste Trial" for Miller Light:

Or just check out the screen cap:

Well that party rocked! Every fan of 70's rock needs to go see Universal Temple of Divine Power. And, humbleness aside...I had some very attractive skinnys shaking things and fogging up all the windows in a 2000 sq ft+ loft.

Detroit does not have that kind of money to put on an event like that.

Does Chicago have a big event? Either I'm retarded or way far away cause I've never seen/experienced it.

We've got enough big events, especially during the holidays. Create your own tradition and see who keeps it alive. The city doesn't have to sponsor everything. In addition, don't they have a Belle Isle walk every New Years?
