Here's the so-called "socialism" the right wing is currently shitting their pants about:

quote:

As a result, Obama does not predict that he will eliminate the deficit anytime soon, and he also admits that the federal government will grow, modestly, as a share of the total economy even beyond the current emergency. After this moment's big spike -- necessary to get the economy moving -- federal spending will account for 22.8 percent of U.S. gross domestic product between 2010 and 2014, up from 21 percent in 2008.

Wow! OBVIOUSLY, the government is trying to own everything! Better start loading up on guns and ammo, so you can defend your property.

Hey, no big deal. I live in Nevada. The US Government (BLM, mostly) already owns 89% of the state. We get along just fine.

Yawn.

They are also in a tizzy over the memos released on Monday:

WASHINGTON (AP) — "The Justice Department on Monday released a long-secret legal document from 2001 in which the Bush administration claimed the military could search and seize terror suspects in the United States without warrants."

Secret anti-terror Bush memos made public by Obama

They are screaming that this will expose the US to terrorist attacks, and embolden the enemy, when obviously it is more likely that they fear that it might result in further investigation/digging and maybe result in the exposure of actual unconstitutional and treasonous activities, during the post 9/11 Bush administration.

Cheney, Bush et al were seeming to indicate what Colonel Jessep said in "A Few Good Men".

"You can’t handle the truth!"

As if the slow creep (Limp Balls) offers anything but divisiveness and appeals to emotionalism.

No creep at all is preferable. Or, I'll take that back, creeping or surging capitalism is most desirable.
