Keep this in mind: Kilpatrick is on probation. If he violates a term of his probation, he could go back to jail. Here is his link with the department of corrections: http://www.state.mi.us/mdoc/as p/otis2profile.asp?mdocNumber= 702408

Since he didn't take a break from doing his chief of staff, why should he get a break paying for it?

"From what I read, Texas doesn't allow for garnishment"

Huh, do they allow personal property seizure? Or is that the place to go now to escape debt?

Nice link, Urbanpioneer. But where it says "Aliases - None" is wrong. I've seen quite a few aliases posted on here.

The accountant that created that list should be advising KK on how to cut expenses. There are a lot of ridiculous amounts being paid out. He is used to living large on money from the city of Detroit. Now he doesn't want to pay back what he stole. What a piece of sh**. I hope he violates his probation and has to go back to Detroit.

$6 is an insult and the judge should throw his ass back in jail for having the nerve to approach the court with this crap.

MESSAGE TO PETER KARMANOS:

"You'd think being closer to the border, the cheaper blow and Mexican prostitutes would bring his cost of living down"

That is just classic....

Nice to know that the grant money he got from the State of Michigan while he was in the State House and then managed to dispense to Carlita and Bobby seems to have been forgotten. You know they could never produce the receipts for the misused funds.

Amazing how that was just allowed to "go away."

But, then that is really just the small stuff....

Can't start garnishment procedings until the fuckstick refuses to make payments towards his restitution balance. So far, his emminence has paid something in the neighborhood of $20K towards the $1 mil he owes the city.
Kwame's new piehole is attempting to earn (steal) his attorney fee's, better to feed off the taxpayers than try to collect from the client!

Too bad the city can't also go after "Carlita's money" the way the government is going after Ruth Madoff. You know KK hid all of his assets under her name, which is how she was able to "gift" him with money for an SUV. Either that, or that's CCK and BK's way of filtering money to him. Either way, they're a couple, one unit, and she should have to surrender whatever money she's hiding toward his restitution.

Any and all parking tickets in Detroit should be appealed and thrown out based upon the premise the money would be better spent on a lifestyle that would be disrupted by such payment.

I know you're saying that they can't garnish his wages, but I'm sure if he didn't pay his taxes the IRS would probably garnish the wages until they were paid.

I've been having fun playing with the Kwame budget.

The $2700 a month rent hasn't even started yet, he has until July to find a cheaper place. He could find one for $1400 and put $1300 toward his bill.

Split the rent, the food bill and the miscellaneous expenses 50/50 with Carlita who should be responsible for herself and equally for their children gives him $1750 more. I'm presuming she has money since she is throwing Escalades around.

If that $900 a month lease is for the Escalade, get rid of that and get a cheaper car. If it is for a different car, one would guess it is Carlita's, so put that bill on her. Either way, you have up to $900 to add to the restitution payment. We are up to $3950 now.

Cut the credit cards to prevent adding to that bill. Reduce $420 phone and cell usage for another $200 to add to the payment. No more text messages! Now we have $4150.

It looks like he is projecting a $7545 take home pay, so maybe reduce the restitution to $4000 a month til he gets through training and starts making those alleged megabucks they think are possible with that job. At that he won't be forcing the rest of the family into penury but will be taking responsibility for his debt to the people of Detroit.

Does anyone think megabuck jobs are going to be the reality anymore?

They shouldn't reduce anything because he's flat out lying. Make him pay or face the consequences until he taps into the money hidden in his backyard.

I can't believe he is exposing his personal business this way. It is so obvious how he is expecting to continue on in exactly the same way, at the expense of the City of Detroit as usual. And of course, he will now have more legal fees to add to the other ones he paid to defend himself against charges to which he could have plead much earlier and at much savings of attorney fees.

When the judge does the math, fireworks should come out his ass at the level of contempt KK has for Detroit taxpayers. AND THE COURT SYSTEM ITSELF!

$1,000,000 divided by $6 equals 166,666 months. Divide 166,666 by 12 to calculate the number of years to pay off $1M. Answer is 13,888.

So Kwame is asserting quite plainly that unless he lives for 13 thousand years, he will never pay back the debt.

Now he could be using this plea as a negotiating tactic. Sometimes when an offer is too low, it insults the seller's intelligence and the seller CAN GET REAL MAD AND SAY F-YOU!

So if the judge is not indignant, he can't count or he is part of the problem.

If Groner goes along with ANY reduction, he needs to lose his job. Bitch-ass Kwame isn't even being subtle with his show of contempt for the court and the city; he waits less than 1 month after getting the approval to move to start crying about the conditions imposed on his move. What a fuckup.

Groner, listen closely, this is YOUR ass (and credibility) on the line.

If ANY reduction is approved, all litigants before you will simply ask again for a different ruling if they didn't like the first one (maybe if I ask more nicely he will change his mind???). As an attorney, I would certainly do so, bringing "new" facts to the table everytime I move for reconsideration of a previous ruling. "bbbbut Your Honor, you didn't consider the fact that my client has increased expenses since last week when you ordered them to put up a bond in this case! WHERE IS THE JUSTICE FOR MY GREEDY CLIENT YOUR HONOR?!?"

I would clog up Groner's court with a motion for reconsideration after EVERY SINGLE RULING THAT DIDN'T GO MY WAY.

According to this site to determine the rent you can afford:

http://www.ehow.com/how_7541_d etermine-much-you.html

Not counting any other income, including anything Carlita makes, Kwame can spend $253.50 a month for rent, and will have $1292 left to contribute to the household expenses. Once he starts making those extra megabucks, he will have some more. That is calculated based on his projected monthly take home pay of $7545, less the %6000 he owes to our fair city.

The IRS uses levies. They'll flat out freeze any bank accounts they can find.

IRS has nothing to do with the state ordered criminal restitution. Only if he stops paying Federal income tax, can and will the IRS start seizing assets.

However, since he transferred his probation to the state of Texas, they can and probably will have something to say about how he's meeting the terms of it. Don't be surprised if MI suddenly reverses the right for him to live and work in Texas. Also, if they bring further charges against him in Detroit, it will violate the probation terms and put his ass right back in jail on the original perjury charges, while he waits for a Federal indictment.

Ahh, yes. Federal indictment. We could only hope the Feds will present their case soon.

Wasn't Groner the one who approve KK moved to TX? This judge has rubber stamped everything KK asked for. Good luck getting him to change his tactics towards KK. But we will see.

I have serious concerns about our judicial system. None of judiciary are following the law as it was intended to be. They make it up on the way.
