In the news paper today comments were made on Dave Bing's level of comfort in the publics eye. Dave Bing is a man of results! How people see him dosen't on stage dosen't reflect on the how he has will conducted himself in office! Dave Bing has handled pressure situations in business with grace and most importantly with intelligence and with RESULTS!!!!They say the camera adds 25 pounds to your appearance and they may also apply to addressing the media that shouldn't disregard how he would attack every problem the city of Detroit is faced with!!! The man is results orientated.

Oh yea, I understood every word Cobragal used. Now, why she put them in that order or what those words meant in a sentence is a different question.

Using your first post as an endorsement, eh?

Should we disregard the fact that your second post was dis"orientated"?

Welcome to the forum:-)

Cobragal can you tell us what it was like arguing with Kay Everett that one time?

Let's be honest, no one other than Sharon McPhail would bother to care about Sharon McPhail at this point. I heard a guy at the bar call her the Chris Pittaro of Detroit politics. Sounds right.

I understood all of the words, and even some of the nonwords! (So did you; for instance, you understood what I meant by the last term in the previous sentence even though it isn't a word.)

Fury13, that was beautifully put :-)

No hint of business sense with Ken Cockrel either.
IMO, if the city doesn't get more business friendly, it will continue to die. I always heard that term, "business friendly", and just thought of it as a cliche, but it's need is real. As a person currently trying to start a business in the city, I can only imagine that Detroit is the most difficult city to do business in America. If people can't make money, all the other things follow... crime, lower quality of life, poor schools, etc. I haven't been impressed with Bing's campaign so far, but will vote for him because of his business sense.

Did someone call Bing fat? What's this about the camera adding 25 pounds? If this is a Bing spokesperson you can just orientated yourself towards the door.

Cobragal's writings sound like a foreign language translated through Babel Fish.

That's the best clique I've ever heard to describe her failed potential!!!

Any wannabe politician should run far, far away when she comes to offer advice on running a campaign.

Yeah, we just need some business...how about a "Renaissance Center" or a Cadillac Assembly Plant, or some stadiums, or casinos...businesses like that will undoubtedly save the city.

And look at what great civic leaders businessmen make. I mean if only Illitch or Maroun could run for mayor.

And God, with a booming economy like this, we just need the right person to bring the jobs to Detroit. Just the right guy, maybe a guy who runs an obscure automotive supplier that just laid off a bunch of people, to bring all those jobs here.

Did I mention I'm a doctor? Well, not exactly...let me explain...I may as well be...

If I understand Dave Bing isn't fat because cameras ad 25 pounds, so really he is even thiner than he looks, I am almost concerned that he is too thin. Also just because you look at someone in public doesn't mean you see them in private? Yeah I am not sure what's going on.

To save money (tax dollars), he could just take his business to Oakland County like 95% of the other businesses here did and leave the city to rot. That's what Bill Davidson did. But instead Bing stays, employing thousands of union workers (when he started the company there were 4). BTW, none of the examples you gave are businesses except the casinos. If those are your idea of businesses you're way off. Healthy cities have hundreds of thousands of small businesses, we just have hundreds. And comparing Bing to Maroun is assanine.
