I find it curious that there's no thread on golf. Any golfers out there? Any Tiger Woods fans? And did you see his performance today (Saturday) at the U.S. Open? Fantastic! And how about Lefty's quadbogy 9 on the 13th hole? What a nightmare...but one that made him look more like me golfing. Anyway, any takers? Or are you all too busy packing away your Red Wings and Pistons shirts? |

Golf can be fun to play, but it usually isn't. It's just too challenging, so much so, that no one masters it. This include Woods. |

The U.S. Open is not Detroit related therefore if you want to talk golf you must start your thread with something like "Seeing as the PGA Championship is at Oakland Hills this year. . ." |

Curiosity seekers (grass grower watchers and I admit I am one), will sneak a peak on Monday. |

All the drama yesterday and they wait a day to play 18 holes which most people won't be able to watch? The drama and excitement was all there. Why not finish it off? they obviously couldn't play 18, but 4 holes would do. |

That's the rule in open championship. No playoff or sudden death holes. Must play a full 18 the following day instead. Personally, I wish they would go sudden death too. |

Played 18 on Fathers Day. Just when you think you have something figured out then wham, slapped in the face. Its a very humbling game. The PGA is coming, and the annual Buick Open as well. I wonder if Tiger is still going to come or not. His knee seems a issue. |

Oh crap. I could rent Mom's house for #20 thou. a weekend for the golf outing. 2900 hundred sq. ft. Anyone interested? My brother & his pal used to hop the fence at Oakland Hills. Play at night. I gave up golf and gave my grandfather's club's to my nephew, then hopped in the boat and caught a walleye. Best decision I ever made. |
