OMG if that was at Wrigley, it would be so awesome! I'm going either way. The views at Wrigley would be awful, but it would be a cool experience. |

Of all the teams that I think deserve to play in a marquee sort of game like this, it's teams from the Original Six. |

It's now official, the game will be at 1 ET at Wrigley. If I can get tickets, I'm definitely not going to miss this. TSN (Message edited by SCS100 on July 16, 2008) |

I'm super excited as well. Just up the L from my place I'm not gonna get all worked up though, as I suspect these could be some of the hardest tickets to get in Chicago sports history. 40,000 seats. 3 million people (10 million metro). Wings-Blackhawks. I'm gonna try. Unfortunately I'm no computer guru able to setup hundreds of windows on ticketmaster. And while last year I went to the United Center the day tickets went on sale....something tells me the lines are going to be a lot longer this year...and I'm not one to camp out for tickets to events. |

Better yet, they should've played this game at Tiger Stadium. Can you imagine how great some of those sight lines would've been? They fans would be that much closer (due to the much more vertical nature of some of the seats) as opposed to Wrigley's wider spread. Don't get me wrong- I love Wrigley for its feel for baseball, but consider this my rant for how much cooler it would've been if it was at Tiger Stadium. |

I think this sucks Big Time. They took away the the long running tradition of the New Years Eve game for a stupid gimmic? I've only missed attending the new years eve game three or four times in the last 15 years. What is the NHL thinking. I won't be watching this game, I'll be watching football just like the rest of America. |
