JC Thanks - Lillibridge Elementary school in the mid 60's had over 2200 children. Columbus in its hay day had around 1100 students.

Z: thanks for the stoly.....a little stronger than my usual Mocha ... I appreciate that you recognize my humanitarian efforts with children and families over the years that I am still doing. thanks.... I wasn't aware that you had my bio...but it is always reassuring to hear nice things. In fact, I really don't need to know where you stand but I have figured that avoidance can be an issue for some individuals..... I will always help you if you need it.... your eastside friend ES61....

ES: You know I was looking for some common ground between us. Some place where we think alike. Then it struck me, you mentioned you got smashed at the old Olympia and it dawned on me. That's it!! The Red Wings. So, let's stop the bickering and hope together the Red Wings will bring the Stanley Cup back to Motown once again.

GO WINGS!

I was already smitten with her progressive lenses, impressive intellect, and bright smile. Knowing she loves the Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings too...WOW! Thanks Z, for my new screen background.

And to think I was all set to vote for Hillary just a few months ago.

Hopefully this pisses off those two has been commies EatShit and Goblow as much as I think it will! BWAHAHAHAHA!

Z: you wing nuts will have to go through the TANK if you are going to repeat .... take a moment and think if the wingo's had to play in the pacific division ..... 8 games against the SHARKS - 8 games against the STARS and 8 against the Ducks ..... the jackets, blues and hawks would be really competitive in the OHA .... I loved the wings back in the day - but as JC and Sumas have told us for years .... "You can't return home .... but the memories are great....."

7: You remain clueless once again .... your anger is astounding maybe you can explain why to your friend GB when he gets back...

I hear the Kremlin is very beautiful this time of year, I can't wait to see GoBlowyourself's pics

Z: Don’t tell GB the Amana Colonies are Lutheran. He will want to join the choir so he can hit on the ladies…. Since U of Iowa is a Big Ten school, wouldn’t that make Iowa State the “other” school? 17-5 Iowa

ES: Methinks someone forgot who holds Stanley and who’s going to repeat next year.

OD and Z: The road to the 09 CUP will need to go through San Jose ..... both you cotton wrist shot artist know that the Red (Oh ---- Z is that commie enough for you) Wings still play in the weakest western division .... Z your hurtfully name calling is part of your catholic upbringing? or part of your Iowa Midwestern values? Was it my extensive upbringing on EASTWOOD where we learned to accept others and to be truly forgiving all wrong? I now wonder even though I had to go to public school if there could have been something else I could have done to understand you and your anger..... it seems that the branch you have extended to me was somewhat broken and not based upon christian values ....

OD, is it your wife that has the allergies? Ask her doctor about Singulair. It may just be her ticket to long lasting relief.

ES: I hope GB will be able to make the transition back into the real world after all that time as a Prescott hermit. The horses should love the campus pasture after being stuck in the desert for so long.

7&K: Thanks for the thought, but she’s already tried Singulair, and it makes her sick. Actually many medications make her sick. In addition to the asthma and outdoor allergies she also has a weak stomach and food allergies. Many tablets have wheat and/or dairy fillers which cause her problems, so every time a doctor prescribes a new medication we have to have the druggist check out the inactive ingredients before filling it.

Did your witty, bitty feelings get hurt ES? Aww, Im sorry please don't sic your big brother on me.

Nice try on the guilt trip manuever, I've never had that one pulled on me before, must be all those years of Psychiatry 101 that taught you that skill.

Now enough of your diversionary tactics. It's a simple question for even a simpleton like you.

Let's see one more thing you mentioned was name calling. Here's a couple of examples of some very intelligent political banter. No wonder I'm afraid to debate politics with you two, who could possibly match wits with this stroke of genius. Next thing you know you guys will be sitting alongside those other 2 MENSA candidates Matthews & Olbermann at MSNBC maybe they can get 6 people to start watching that channel then, and double their ratings.

It couldn't happen to a better self-serving idiot. The story is breaking as we speak...her 17 year old daughter is 5 months pregnant...what kind of cheap shit mother would subject her daughter to this kind of shit? I'm sorry for the kid...her mother did it to her...and it's just another example of Geo. McCain's stupidity. We've had eight years of an absolute moron in the White House...we sure as shit don't need another dunce who wouldn't have graduated from the Naval Academy if his grandfather and father hadn't been admirals.

What I plan on doing is quit working and go on welfare and living off your money big shot, you wouldn't have a problem with that would you?

Now answer the question, what are you afraid of exposing that we already don't know about you? Come on we know ES, just shout it out if you know it

OD, I'm guessing Clariton has also been ruled out. Did she ever try a steroidal inhaler like Flonase? There's got to be something out there for her.

ES isn't boarding his farm animals at your place is he? Or GB his horses? Bovine and/or equine allergins would only exacerbate her situation...not to mention their stench.

Zero: you actually are employed? no way! Should I talk to the university president on Friday? I know you have a resume whereas your friend 7&Resume is not there yet .... I still think that the catholic church will outreach to you... Shouting out for my friend 7 I will always do that for him .... even though 7 you are still part of the early 50's......What I am afraid of is that you are still stuck in1954.....try to move on and try to help others.....like most of us who grew up on the EASTSIDE do on a daily basis..... that will 'Make a Difference".......

7&K: Thanks for your concern, but if you can think of it she’s tried it. As far as steroidal inhalers, she does use Albuterol and Flovent but they don’t help a lot. (Another thing about these inhalers is that they can cause fungus in your mouth if you don’t rinse after using them.) She tried allergy shots for awhile, but they made her feel even worse. By the time she recovered from the effects of one shot it was time for another one. Actually this is more than your “normal” asthma and allergies. She had 36 radiation treatments for breast cancer in ’98 and we are convinced they compromised her immune system. She didn’t have these problems before then. And yes, we have tried various immune system “enhancers” without any improvement….. Nope, no livestock in the area. ES sent Violet and Greta to LA to help control the grass beside the freeways. He knows enough not to send them to work on the Detroit freeways because the locals would eat them….. And GB can’t bring Tango into Michigan because there is a warrant out for his arrest.

Od: I hope Mrs OD does feel better and can get a handle on her allergies .... I know that you have even tried various climates, etc. My wife has systemic Lupus which has affected several of her immune systems .... Hold on Z and 7 but it might be another reason for improved health care in this country....... I am sure you two would agree with that.......I Hope!

OD: I guess I haven't been following the bouncing ball about the allery/medication concerns of your "Mrs". There are many inhaled steroidal treatments with varying advantages and side effect profiles. Asmanex (mometasone) has an interesting acuating devise which can offer a potent amount of steroid in an easy manner. Rinsing, of course, after inhalation is a must on all steroidal inhalation. You may be familiar with the antifungal mycostatin, which can be used on a swish and swallow basis when necessary for thrush developed from inhaled oral steroids. I've got the feeling oral steroids like cortisone or prednisone were used at one time or another considering the immunocompromising effects derived from radiation treatment. As far as the newer non or low sedating antihistamines are concerned (Zrytec, Allegra, Claritin) Zrytec in most cases seems to be the most effective in allergy cases. Although it is low sedating, it is the most sedating of the three. Believe it or not the effectiveness of allergy medications are related to the sedating property. That is why benadryl (Diphenhydramine) of the first generation antihistamines was and is so effective...it is extremely sedating...so much that the "" side effect property is utilized in most over the counter sleep remedies (Beware of all the other numerous side effects too). As 7K suggested there preventive leukotriene blocker drugs like singulair, accolate, or zyflo that can be used for prevention (not active treatment) of asthmatic conditions. I'm not sure if the condition or remedy you were relating to was discussed....if not the HEILMAN PARK PHARMACY hours have just be extended. So come on in OD, the advice is free but the root beer floats will cost you.

ES: I was unaware of your wife’s Lupus. Hope it’s not a severe case. Are they able to keep it under control?

KR: Benadryl works best for her but she uses a lot and, as you say, it is sedating. She has been to multiple allergy / asthma specialists who have tried about everything your pharmacy carries, but Benedryl is the only one that loosens her chest muscles.

7&K: Thanks for your thoughts.

Guys: Poor ES, imagining exhibition games actually mean anything. If that was the case the Lions would be on their way to the Super Bowl this year. I suggest we let him bask in his delusions until the end of the season when Lindstrom and the boys are sipping from the cup again.

If the Sharks go to the finals then you have to wear GB's Bananahead Extra small helmet .... for the photo with Tango!!!! Tango was wearing a Joe Thornton #19 jersey and surrounded by 200 admirers while GB had the Sarah Palin 08 jersey on and there was no one around him when they returned to AZ.......

Its good to be back on the Eastside again ... Been working with the Sharks for the past several months which has paid off with them leading the Western Division ... Good to see the Wings rock the Hawks ...

KR, we drove past there the other day, and I didn't see much going on outside except for some kids with backpacks trekking their way home down Crusade through the snow from school. There's no ice rink like we had back in the day, but the new rec center is there, so I'm guessing most of the winter activity is taking place indoors.

I should take my skates over to Vetere to have them sharpened.

7: It is sad to see that many of the "winter activities" have gone indoors. There is a couple of blasts from the past here in downriver. Finally, after a couple of weeks of temperature highs in the teens, the "No Skating" sign was taken down at Riverview's reflection pond and there is skating on Elizabeth Park's pond. Maybe it's time to visit Vetre's for a new pair of hockey skates.

Yes, and after more than 4 decades the figure skates are just an interesting life lesson.

Anyone know what the adult or family swim schedule is at Heilmann?

Does anyone have the location of Frank Toomey or Peggy the life guard (circa 1970s)
