Do endorsements mean anything? Do they help or hurt depending on whom they are from? Detroit News endorses Bing http://www.detnews.com/apps/pb cs.dll/article?AID=/20090206/O PINION01/902060304 Rev. Endorsements can mean something depending who they come from. In this race any endorsement from a former Kwame backer (e.g. Wendall Anthony) should be a kiss of death. The Detroit News hasn't shown much love for the city proper, either. |

I wonder if the other major endorsing groups are going to sit this one out. With only two weeks left, As far as I know we have not heard from: 1) Black Slate 2) Eastside Slate 3) Community Coalition 4) UAW/Teamster/AFSCME 5) Free Press 6) Michigan Chronicle Does anyone know what candidate these groups are supporting? |

Since the Black Slate is the political arm of the Shrine, I would be shocked if they weren't supporting Evans. |
