Robinsoneditions.com has a good mix of new and old photos of Detroit and other cities. Some of them have been seen on this board before but there are a couple of absolutely stunning panoramic shots of Grand Circus Park circa 1916. http://robinsoneditions.com/or iginal_media_viewer2.asp?Websi teID=679&GalleryID=19958&Media ID=208849&KW= |

Thanks, Thought it interesting to see the Manning Bros sign on the building on East Adams(?), yet the id on the photo was 505 Lincoln. |

Most of the period shots are from the LOC-HABS website. |

A lot of really beautiful pictures there, particularly the panoramic Grand Circus Park shots. I also liked the series of shots showing the now lost Monroe block at several dates in the early 1900s. But a lot of the "info" given is quite wrong. "City Hall 1984" - ummmm, I think not. |

What's LOC-HABS? I'd love to take a look at it if it has pictures like these. The only reason I found this site is because I was staying at a hotel in Times Square that had some awesome pictures of old NY. It was a nice surprise to see they had Detroit as well. |
