Here's a left over campaign token from the John F. Nichols campaign against Coleman Young in.....gosh, was in '73? I think so. When Roman Gribbs declined to run for mayor again, it came down to Nichols, career police executive, and Coleman Young, then a state senator. Nichols lost by about 12,000 votes, and the rest is history.  | ||

Eden East on Route 66, after 25 odd years & 2 locations I had no idea that it had a Detroit-theme 'til I read it here. There used to be a John Birch Society bookstore on Gratiot between 8 & 9 mile. We used to go in there when we were in high school and look at all of the crazy stuff they had. My favorite thing was a bumper sticker like this:  | ||
