There is this place at Woodward and Tuxedo in Highland Park a little north of Grand Blvd. I've never been inside but the big flashy sign outside never fails to catch my attention. It's called "Fresh Fish".

Eastern Market Seafood Co. is on Market Street. That said, I've never bought fish from there, so perhaps others could provide a review. They do have great sandwiches, though.

I'm not sure if they're still there but, Vergotie's on Harper by St. Matthew's Church and the 94 overpass was always a great place.

Eastern Market Seafood Co. has mostly frozen fish. Not fresh.

There is a fish place in gratiot central market that seems to have good fish. The eyes are clear and not cloudy, and it doesnt smell fishy. (That means its fresh right?) I have never bought from there though, but there is always a line.

Superior fish in Royal Joke...I mean Royal Oak is decent, but expensive...Noble Fish in Clawson is good too...if you like to prepare Asian cuisine.
