Going up to a friend's farm in Richmond to BBQ, play volleyball, and shoot fireworks Friday. sat-Sun will be spent putting together a desk and bookshelf, while I finish cleaning out the condo so the girlfriend can finish moving in.

I'm going to celebrate the fact that I pay about 10 times more of my income in taxes as the Colonists paid to George III.

There's the Festival Epicure on the Windsor Waterfront. Different foods from a variety of restaurants in and around Windsor. Prices range from $4.00-$7.00 and you'll get a good portion. On Sunday, Alexander Zonjic will be there!

I worked one of the booths a few years ago - but I won't be working it this year. I'm gonna go enjoy.

Happy 4th to all!

Staycation for me. The highlight of which will be going to Mom's for Saturday dinner, and...

1. Replacing light bulbs that are out of reach.
2. Attaching some notice to the garage door.
3. Showing her how to light the BBQ grill.

Maybe if she gets her bank statement on Saturday, I can balance her checkbook, again!

taking a staycation too. would go to city fest but last year we went to taste fest and found the food way too pricey, that stupid thing with the tickets to buy food and now the gas, i'll stay home and grille. we went to river days and they were also doing the ticket thing for food too, so we left and ate cheaper outside the festival. what happened to cheap fun for Detroiters.

I just looked it over. The one near the top, right?

My 2 cats have been going nuts at about 4am, so I have to banish them from the bedroom and shut the door. When I finally get up they are both waiting quietly outside the bedroom door.

Is there something I should be looking for?

Oh, no, no. Just curious if you had any pictures of the levitating kitten. I showed that story to my fiance, and she was intrigued as well.

Our fat cats have done that. One was declawed before we got her (we think it's kind of mean), but somehow still manages to get to the tops of shelves... that is even though they weigh at least twenty pounds. Just was curious about if yours was even more of a mystery. It sounds like it is.

Just small talk and such I guess, that's all. There really isn't a reason I care. I just liked the couple stories.

Wife has to work, gas is too high (although cheaper than yours) so we'll shoot fireworks (legal here) in the back yard.

Aiw - well now - that is handy for you and Mrs. Aiw! I love going there and walking around seeing what the Windsor area restaurants and our county wineries have to offer. I think this is Sprucewood's first year there. Erieshores has participated the past several years. But I basically go there to see Zonjic's performance on Sunday.

Have fun!

Happy 4th everyone :-)

No levitating kitten pictures. But it is learning "get down". It will learn it a lot faster if it ever steps on a hot smooth top range!

Today is the 1st anniversary of me acquiring her.

We had a Tiger Stadium, downtown, Riverwalk and casino tour with out of town friends last night and a wonderful dinner at Baile Corcaigh. Today I will be digging up daffodil bulbs that have invaded some little shrubs. Anyone want any? Then we are probably having a 1950s baseball dinner (hot dogs, beans and chips). We might have a country ride on Saturday.

I'm stuck in Bay City with my girlfriends family for the weekend. It sucks that I will miss taste...er...cityfest for the first time in 6 years, but they have a great 3 day fireworks festival up here so it should be plenty of fun. Got a rack of ribs on the hickory smoker and burgers ready to grill.

Enjoy the great weather everyone!

Just came in from Lake St. Clair and a trip out to the freighter channel for a photo or two. Got a nice shot of the "American Spirit" ( American SS Co.), downbound with ore.
Her name certainly fits this day. Happy 4th!
