This is related to the allegations of Beatty making her ticket for running a red light, driving without insurance or a license disappear. Matt Allen is even getting dragged into the case. The charges brought by the officer who issued the ticket are slander, invasion of privacy, retaliation and harassment in violation of the whistleblower protection act, emotional distress and conspiracy to retaliate and harass the plaintiff. http://media.myfoxdetroit.com/ PDF/beattylawsuit.html |

The cop pulls over Beatty, gives her a couple of tickets for running a red-light, no proof of insurance, no registration and no license. Then the cop, instead of putting the Beatty ticket in a general basket where all tickets go at the end of each shift, personally hands the ticket to the Police Sargent. Ticket gets "lost", video tape evidence is removed from scout car and the officer is put on desk duty. Officer calls Scott Lewis, of wjbk does a report, and then the officer gets harassed. ---- jeeze, what a shitpile. What kind of city do we live in? It's a gosh darn criminal enterprise ...at every level. Cop calls Scott Lewis |

Good summary, Gnome. Here's the conclusion: the taxpayers of the city end up paying a lawsuit of millions of dollars because Beatty would rather defame a poor police officer than to stoop so low as to pay a hundred dollars worth of tickets. The privileges of being "above the law"! |

Does this cop have a copy of the ticket he wrote? How did Scott Lewis find out this cop wrote a ticket that disappeared? |

Wrong Retroit, Beatty couldn't stoop so low as to follow the damn law and not incur tickets to begin with. Mayor Kwame "Liability" Kilpatrick can't get out of office fast enough. |

How many police and government officials do you think actually follow driving laws? ALL the time? |

The deal is you need to open the PDF and read the 11 pages of legal hoo-itz and whereases to get an understanding of the shitstorm. Really, I think this would have all just gone away if the officer had followed proceedure and not "pushed" but according to the PDF, the officer was sick and tired of CB getting tickets and blowing them off. The thing that is surprising is that very little info has appeared in the papers. Either they are holding back, or they don't want to come off as piling on CB. Buried in the channel 2 vault is an interview done by CB in mid-January...pre-text message release...she is pretty convincing and admits to having a lead foot but denies intimidating any cops. The interesting part of the video is when Matt Allen grabs the camera and tries to end the interview, but CB tells him to chill out. So it appears that Scott Lewis was in the process of reporting "ticket-gate" in January but put the whole thing on hold when Elrick and Schaffer dropped their neutron bomb. It is also interesting that the Officer who is charging CB, Elly the Bully, et al is now in a position to capitalise on the general disgust the Wayne County citizens feel towards the City. I would think that before all this textual healing was exposed the complaining Officer would have been told to go pound sand. |

I opened the pdf and read it - but the cop has to have proof to back up his allegation. Some cops aren't above piling on. |
