Anybody else get a glimpse of that beautiful rainbow that just lit up the sky here in Detroit a few minutes ago? Wow, what a beauty. I got some nice pics but I can never figure out how to post them here - can anybody tell a dummy how exactly I can do that??

How do I post a picture?
Images, Attachments, and Clipart

Also Irfan View is useful for meeting the photo size constraints here (550x550 pixels, 50kb file size). Often you need only open and resave a JPEG with Irfan View to meet the constraints.

It seems complicated at first but it's well worth studying because you get to use it over and over.

I hope to see your photos!

I saw it on my way home and rushed in trying to capture a shot of it surrounding my house. Got a few pics of it though not the perfect picture I'd imagined.

Here are some clickable links - one is just a shot of the adjacent sky. All taken from my dirty 4th floor window. :-)

That was definitely a double rainbow. Was there a tertiary?

Links to photo hosting sites work fine too.

I recall seeing a tertiary around Orchard Lake many years ago. It was worth pulling off the road just to fully appreciate it.

Nope, I missed it.

I was too busy enjoying that wind. :-)

That was one nasty squall line (or should I said outflow boundary) though.

Tkierpeic: Did you follow it to see if there was a pot of gold at the end? :P Indeed, that's a very nice rainbow.

haha, well if you look closely, the bottom of the rainbow is hovering right over the Motor City casino.

;)

We were coming down I-75 from Grayling and got a great view of that squall line. Somehow we managed to avoid getting squalled on. The weather was so gorgeous up in the Leelanau this morning. NOAA was predicting a gale blowing up at 2 pm, and it was so sunny and clear we just didn't believe it, but at 2:15, there it was, only slightly tardy. We saw a nice big rainbow, somewhere south of Saginaw, I think.

Today was by far the most amazing day!! I was at Belle Isle and caught that incredible rainbow...it was so beautiful. I also experienced today...hail, torrential rain, monsoon like wind, sun, dark skies...it was a kinda eerie day!!

I was playing hole #12 at Rouge Park yesterday when they appeared, was amazing. Definitely hard to predict what the weather was going to do next! Only got sprinkled on but the wind was something else.
