Is there anything left there? Hunter House -- gone; Intermezzos -- gone; Centre Street Pub -- gone. Had so much potential. |

too bad, it could have been a fun entertainment district. looks like rhino and coaches corner will have to soldier on until Africa town hits. |

I think so. There's also an art gallery (can't remember the name) there, although it says it's temporary in the sign. There are also the Broadway-facing businesses, like Blumz and Rags. |

Grand Central Lounge is there, too. The art gallery used to be the G. R. N'Namdi Gallery (the owner is one of the organizers for Art. Detroit. Now. www.artdetroitnow.com), but they moved to Forest. Then it was the temp site for the CAID's Ladybug Gallery, but now they're in their home. I have no idea if there's anything there right now or not--but that site has changed hands numerous times, always as a gallery. |

Well, Centre Street did themselves in, IMHO. Last time I went there, was treated rudely by the doorman, largely ignored by the barstaff, was charged crazy prices for beers ($5+ for a pint), and the ambiance of the place was ruined by the 'renovation'. Liked it so much better before they brought in the loud DJ music and pseudo-futuristic light boxes (or whatever the F those things were). They should've stuck to the live music/blues & jazz. It's a shame too, I really used to like that place. It should stay true to its roots, a genuine German Bier-keller. |

It's not Harmonie Park, it's Paradise Valley. |
