Whatever happened to Velvet peanut butter? It used to be made in Detroit, right?

Weren't there three cartoon kids on the front of Velvet Peanut Butter? And there were words underneath each one like "smooth", "pure" and something else... "delicious"?

My brother went to school with the Ginger-headed fatkid who starred in their rather rare commercials proclaiming "Fresh! Pure! Delicious!" He said he was a jerk.

Flyingj, that's hilarious.

That reminds me. What ever happened to Mason Reese the Smorgasbord kid?

He was this homely/cute kid who was popular in the 70s, the same way Tiny Tim was popular for being homely in the 60s, and Carrot Top is now.

We were just talking about Mason Reese at work yesterday. How about Rodney Allen Rippy?

Chalu64, I saw Rodney Allen Rippy last year...he's looking good, nice guy. I keep waiting to see when they bring him in for a new Jack-In-The-Box spot;
