Paul Trynka, author of a biography on Iggy Pop titled Open Up And Bleed, will be giving a talk on his book, Q & A, and sign his book at the Edison Library, 18400 Joy Road, just west of the Southfield Freeway, at 6PM Wednesday, April 30th. Paul is from Hull, England and was one of many musical artists influenced by the Stooges. After his musical career, Paul spent 10 years as a journalist at MOJO magazine.
I saw his talk at the downtown Ann Arbor Public Library. He follows the chronology of Iggy with slides and accompanying anecdotes to flesh out Iggy and James Osterberg. A link to his web site for more detailed information about Paul Trynka can be found at..http://www.trynka.net/Site/Wel come.html
