There are also several bakeries in Hamtramck. You could go to the one on Joseph Campau just south of Caniff, between Campau Towers and Wendys. There's also a good one on Conant just north of Caniff. La Gloria on Bagley is also excellent. |

The sandwich/convenience store on Griswold just below Congress always carried Sanders cakes ...haven't checked it lately. |

The store in the Ford building (whare Sanders used to be) has cakes. Don't expect anything fancy, but it has them. |

Knudesen's is the best, not downtown, but they are in Detroit proper. |
