Can anyone recommend a good place for leather-goods repair in the city? East side preferred for convenience. My briefcase/shoulder bag has a broken handle and loose seam, and putting the money in the city (even though I live in GP, and suggestions there are welcome too) would be nice.

I am looking for a place to repair my lederhosen (no, I'm not kidding, I just moved back here from Germany) after a rough Oktoberfest. Anywhere east or north side would work for me.

The Leather Factory (not quite East Side per se) on Lafayette near the Downtown Main Post Office does leather repair.

Nativegirl,

Thanks for the suggestion - close enough for me. I'll check them out the next time I ride downtown.

The little leather shop downstairs next to the post office in Eastland Mall does really nice work..they repaired a pair of leather motorcycle pants for me after I did some crash damage to 'em..can't remember the name of the place, though.

Pgn421, the place between Broadstone and Littlestone does great work and I can walk there. I live around the corner. I just had sport coat altered and their prices are pretty cheap. Although I did have a hard time understanding the older woman in there.
