My wife thought it would be a good idea to stay there before and after a Tiger game. Evidently you can walk to and from the game plus check out a casino or two. Anybody here stayed there? Any tips to share? Thanks. |

It's a great location near the ballpark with plenty of things to do nearby. It is located in Harmonie Park, and less than a 5 minute walk to Greektown. I cant speak about the hotel itself...I've never stayed there. |

dont forget great food and outdoor seating when its nice at the Hunter House located on the first floor. you can listen to good outdoor music from the Rhino Club in the evenings and now Detroit Pub across Gratiot which looks like it will be a great sports bar. |

I've stayed there and it is a good place. No real frills but very clean and modern with all you would expect for the price. The location speaks for itself. |

my parents always stay there when they bring guests in from out of town to make a weekend out of a tigers game. they always enjoy it and have never had a bad experience. when mrs. rsa got married we even reserved a block of rooms and recommended it to people from out of town. no complaints from anybody. it's nothing spectacular, but it's clean, comfortable, very convenient, and reasonably priced. it's pretty much like any other hilton garden inn, just located in downtown detroit. |

I had a friend visit from out of town that stayed there. I went to visit while he was there and it seemed to be a fantastic place for lodging. He went away with only good things to say as well. I would recommend it to anybody asking about it. |

The Harbor House across the street is handling the room service and make the deliveries, which is a bonus, but why eat in your room when you can walk across the street and eat at the restaurant |

I've stayed there twice and would most certainly stay there again. Clean, nice rooms. Great location. If the area's open, sitting outside eating some Hunter House sliders with a beer is magic. You've also got Lola's, Coaches Corner - they serve Nikki's pizza - and, as mentioned previously, the Rhino all within a stone's throw. It's also convenient to Greektown/Bricktown and the rest of downtown. I strongly recommend it as well. |

Thanks for the info guys. I hear the parking is $20 a day. Any alternatives for parking cheaper nearby? |

You really cant beat the convenience. The 20 includes valet. You can always find a surface lot but if you're down there for a game, there won't be many better options. |

If you can handle the walk. You can park at the Greektown Casino garage for free. |

I parked at the Compuware Garage a couple blocks away last time I stayed there. If memory serves me right, it's only like $5-10 bucks a night. |
