My studio is right near the starting point of the parade, but I am going to see the Mummies at the Science Center with my daughter...so I will miss the parade.

This will be my first St. Patricks Day parade that I will be in attendance in Corktown. There will be about 12-14 or us. Corned beef and a tall glass of Guinness to start the morning is a great way to begin the day!

It seemed like a lot of folks biked over. The rack in front of Slows was full. Good times.

I tried to go, drove down late and could not find a place to park. Cars were packed in like sardines and I was probably about mile from the route by the time I found anything.

We got there right at 2 and parked at Michigan/Cass. What a great time, it seemed like the parade was extra long this year. We stood in front of the Brooklyn Grill and got right up front to watch the parade

I was also in the 4 mile run this year. The bonus was that instead of Bud Light, the beer was from Motor City Brewing Co.

Did any of the runners get those funky MCB mugs with the green flashing lights?

I finally wrote a brief piece of our day at the parade.

I also got an impromptu tour of the Mercury Coffee Bar building across from Slow's. It's going to be a very cool space once completed.

Wow, I ran out of beads! I don't think we'll hand out candy next year as too many of youz were tossing it back ;-(
On another note, what a difference a year makes.
Last year we had to turn the A/C on in the bus, this year, the heater couldn't keep up.
