Has anyone ever been to Taqueria Neuestra Familia in the West Vernor Business District? It is near Central and has a $2.95 Taco special that comes with rice and beans. All meals are served with an assortment of 2 salsas; a pico de gallo, and a cilantro/avacado dip with chips and vegetables for free! The food is amazing and you get your choice of about 7 different types of Tacos. MUST TRY!

Eat tacos every day at a different taqueria ... and save!

Also: Mi Puebla, La Tapatia and Lupita are oh so good and shockingly cheap. If you're feeling a little spendy, get TWO-dollar pupusas at the funnest dining establishment to name out loud: Pupuseria Mama Tita (poo-poo-ser-eeya ... mama tee-ta!)

Offer void where prohibitted.

Also try Mi Tierra, Warren between Sfld and Evergreen and their other location is roughly Oakwood and Schaefer. Very nice authentic Mexican fare with inexpensive lunch specials. Convenient for those working in Dearborn.

And then there is also Tijuana Kitchen on Dix just east of Southfield. They have nice lunch specials and great salsa with chips. Mexican food is the best !

If you work in the CBD, you can't beat "Taco Tuesdays" at Rio Wraps/Pizza Papalis in the Dime Building. They're 99 cents each for a pretty tasty chicken or beef version.

I second the Taqueria Neuestra Familia recommendation. The pork tacos are out of this world. Also, the salsa and guacamole spread is hearty and fresh. Chips, four salsas, two tacos, rice and beans for 2.95. Can't beat it.

Taquería Arandas--Livernois south of Vernor. Lunch special: Three tacos with rice and beans for $3.50. If you want flour tortillas add a buck. Delicious food and nice people, too.

The refried beans are the best I have ever had. They are open for breakfast as well and have a relly great menu- 4.95 for huevos rancheros FRESH, FRESH, FRESH!
