The story, "The Emerald City" by Michele Owens, describes the working farm at the Catherine Ferguson Academy and other gardens in the Detroit Garden Resource Program. The program for individual, family and community gardeners offers seeds and seedlings, education and resources for fees from $5 to $20 a year. Seed distribution starts this week.
