wow, i was just out closing the garage door, when i heard this pulsating "hwuh hwuh hwuh hwuh hwuh hwuh" sound...i looked up, and saw some object at relatively low altitude moving at pretty high speed, and i saw white lights in the sky. the sound was very bizarre, and the light print looked much bigger than what an aircraft would have displayed. the object(s) was spotted near 11 mile and woodward, moving in an east-northeastly direction.

i'm sure at least one other person saw this occurrence.

btw, i gave up beer for lent, so it wasn't the sauce making me see things!

I gave up meat.

Hmm... sounds like a chopper... but if it isn't... then I'd get a bit scared.

BTW, this spell check is quite handy.

Just a question. Almost every morning around 5:00 a.m, I hear a helicopter take off and then return 30 minutes later to the University of Michigan Hospital.

The first few times I heard it I thought they were making actual rescues, but since they are always departing at this time, I was guessing they were making some sort of test flight or training. Anyone have similar experiences living near a hospital?

Equally amazing, so little is known and of what is, understood about the universe, how anything can be ruled out.

Not saying there is, one way or the other, but there are a whole bunch of credible folks seeing something. Veteran pilots, police officers, military personnel..

And they are'nt the only ppl that described the same thing!

I've seen things before in Northern Michigan that I can't explain. I have also seen things down here in Florida that are crazy.

To think humans are the only intelligent creature in an indiscribably immense universe is naive.

My father and sister had a sighting westbound on Ford Road during the late seventies/early eighties...they never want to talk about it.

Anyone who denies that things can exist outside our relatively narrow perceptual range is an idiot. Enough idiots in a gang...that'd be enough to keep any significant intelligence from contacting us.

We won't hear from them until we're on the brink of nuclear annihilation...haven't you been keeping up on the popular culture?!

Luckily W's group has done their share to get us there...

I don't think anyone has adequately explained the Phoenix Lights yet. It may not be extraterrestrial, but too many people saw it for it to have simply been a report by a nutty UFO fanatic.

Maybe it was an elaborate hoax but it's strange the hoaxster hasn't come forth to claim his well-deserved fame.

But to think that we'd be close enough to encounter another intelligent creature in this indiscribably immense universe, or visa versa, is highly unlikely.

One theory is that because we don't truly understand time or the manipulation of it [yet], the "aliens" that are reportedly being seen could be future earthlings time-traveling into their past.

Detroitman, manipulation of time could make it possible.

One theory is that they come and survey our land and monitor us, because we haven't been here that long and are fascinated by our progress. They have knowledge of how long we've been here, but they don't contact us just as to not mess up the space time continuum.

In my mother's lifetime, there is only ONE time would you call her crazy. She related a few times about her encounter with UFOs. We lived on Joy Road in Westland and I was 6 years old. This would be 1967 or 1968. My mom used to gaze in the sky at night, sometimes praying, sometimes just to have quiet time. She said she noticed a few times some strange movements up there that didn't move like a plane or helicopter would, sometimes zigzag pattern and turns at sharp angles. Sometimes they just disappear.

One night, she noticed a UFO flying close over the neighborhoods on the Westland side of Joy Road. She asked her neighbors across Joy Road if they had seen the UFO but they said they have not. She wondered if she was seeing things. That night, she was awakened to find two beings at the foot of the bed. Dad was still asleep. They had the now well-known grey skin with the big tear-drop type of black eyes. She felt strangely calm. She asked who are you? They didn't answer the question but telepathically told her to come with them. At that point she felt herself floating above her body. She immediately asked them with her mind, "Is Jesus there?" (She was a very devout Christian) The beings didn't answer that question and my mom told them she didn't want to go if Jesus was not there. She told them to never come back and leave the family alone, invoking Jesus' name. Immediately she felt herself dropped back into her body and the beings left through the walls of the bedroom. Dad never woke up during this encounter. It was only later in the mid-70s with the resurgence of UFO interest did he realize that the descriptions of UFO beings matched what my mom described 7-8 years earlier. We never saw another UFO since.

So, she had an encounter...curious.

And through an entire lifetime of sanity, you would still doubt her on this one...and others would go to her faith as 'proof' of her insanity. (only going by your apologetic opening remark, then knowing how mere humanity responds to things they don't yet understand!)

I see her a highly resonant being, able to perceive things less resonant ones unfortunately do not. We're all on our path to enlightenment, some closer to whatever goal there is than others...not a problem as long as those further progressed keep gifting everyone their revelations and observations!

Cheers

Gannon, I think you misunderstood my reasoning regarding my mom's sanity. I'm implying that IF she was indeed crazy, or had crazy notions, then she would have had told or done many other crazy things over her lifetime. But if anyone wanted to call her crazy for this encounter, then that is all they would have as "evidence" that she was crazy. She wasn't one for just telling false stories just for the heck of it. She gained nothing but grief from my father and some of her friends for this story but she stood by it because it really happened to her and I DO believe her. I decided to relate this as perhaps someone else may relate to seeing something in that area at that time. Anyway, thanks for you kind comments regarding my mom.

I think what you saw and heard a transformer blow. What you saw with you eyes probably was real but an illusion created by the transformer blowing. It makes a really deep thundering and oscillating sound. Or perhaps, you did see a UFO.

I thought I saw a UFO once in Ohio. A nice bright elongated stationary silver object in the sky. I was patient enough to watch it for twenty minutes. It was a plane that was heading directly toward me and the sun light was reflecting on the wings in such a way that it appear to be very bright and slender. It was stationary because it was heading toward me. I have seen videos of this phenomenon on YouTube and it makes laugh a bit.

LOL..guys! Speaking of planes!...
When my parents moved to MI from NJ, we moved into this condo and my bedroom window faced a field. One night I was looking out and saw these flickering lights. MY STOMACH dropped I quickly thought.."UFO?" But..it turned towards Selfridge Base...lol. I took a deep breath and had a good chuckle I was only 10! :P

Too add to that, it was a plane...lol.
Also, the first time heard one of those jets start up?? Freaked me out! I thought it was a
rocket! I hated living in New Baltimore! Those stupid planes flew over our house in the mornings when I tried to sleep!
Catman! That must've been scary for your mom!
She's lucky they didn't take her! Even if she begged NO! Thank god they went away!

I kid, I kid.
I wish I had the same experience. Don't let these people tell you it could have been a chopper or a streetlight, it's them. They're out there. Do you feel like you've been violated? Do you feel any microchips under your skin? Do you remember what you did immediately after seeing the fire in the sky?
