How come there is no money to repair fire trucks but there is money to pay for all the appeals for the Mayor of Detroit.

It's called priorities Dogperson....the City of Detroit obviously has never been that concerned with either Fire or Police protection. KK's lavish lifestyle comes first, legal (which is not too often), or illegal. He gets what he wants, no one says "no" to him, therefore, no money left for the City's residents. Ignoring problems has been paramount, police and fire have always been put on the back burner. Staff problems, housing for firefighters (kitchens not in working order, leaking roofs at the houses, no heat, etc.). Police not having state of the art computer equipment in their cars, radios that don't work, staff problems as well. I know this for a fact.

You also have to remember people have figured out it's cheaper to pay $100 a year for homeowners insurance then the $100 a month for a mortgage. Then pay someone to burn down the house (usually empty) More wear and tear on the trucks = higher price to fix. Not to mention the fact that Detroit is missing out on state payments due to lack of audits that need to be done.
