better a catalytic converter than your whole car.

wasn't there a thread about a year ago where someone was complaining about their cc getting stolen?

I hear they fetch about $100 each at scrap. Pretty tempting for some.

You missed the intent. When there was a story about catalytic converters being stolen in Detroit the thread was overwhlemed with people stating that is why people can't live in Detroit.

As for being jealous what exactly am I jealous of? Let's hear your wonderful insight.

The point of the thread was proven. When there is a story about this happening in detroit the thread is full of people using it as an example of how horrible the city is. Funny how those same people don;t comment here.

Platinum. They fetch over $1000 at the shop for a new exhaust, and per federal mandate, its illegal ($10,000 fine) for a shop not to install one.

But this is all old news, except maybe not in Troy.

With platinum soaring above $2000 per ounce, the situation will only worsen.

But what if those doing the harvesting are from Detroit?

The consistent rebuttal.

The consistent rebuttal. If there is crime in Detroit it shows how horrible it is. If there is crime in the suburbs it is due to Detroiters. I guess the only solution would be to run further away.

There is little wonder why the city and entire region are in complete shambles.
