I miss the bluegrass music, too . . . is there any other place to hear bluegrass on a regular basis in the city of Detroit?

In the 90's 3rd was great after-hours. I always remember the lites flickering in there from the generator they used because of some fallout with Det. Edison.

I liked 3rd Street Saloon a lot. The music acts there were often unique. As that area starts improving with more WSU students living on campus, that location will be prime, too.

Off topic, but can someone tell me a little about the Steak Hut? What's it like? I've never been.

I still feel nostalgic for the dingy Third Street Saloon of the 80s. Crowded... dark ... The Doors on the jukebox. Good times.

On the south side of Lafayette west of Trumbull. $2 breakfast on the weekends with live music. Great times.

Third Street was a great place to go have a drink on a warm summer afternoon with the doors wide open, watching the mess of activity across the street at University Ghetto Market. Someone must reopen it.

Great location for a restaurant with outdoor seating along Third.
