Notice how many bad things happen to kids these days especially in what many of us used to consider after hours?
Todays paper mentioned 3 teens getting shot at after getting in a stranger's car in the early morning.
What the heck were they doing out at that time of night?
The whole story reeks and I'm sure there is a lot that hasn't been told but where are the parents?
No wonder the whole world has gone crazy.

as a"parent" of a 15yr old girl, all i can say is that sometimes you can do all you can and it still ain,t enuff.the only thing that i can actully say good about the last year living with her is that i got to see greektown and what was going on downtown while her mom visited her in juvie. she later went to vista maria, got to see more parts of Detroit i haven,t been to in a while,i my self was not the best kid but i knew the limit. the kids now want it all, and alot of times their parents give it to them. ya can,t spank kids anymore and alot of parents are to busy to deal with them if their even there.

Paul, you should keep in mind that the boomers suck at being parents. It's difficult to concentrate on responsible parenting when, even though you're already in your forties or fifties, you're still fully involved with "finding yourself."
Besides, how the hell can you set, and enforce, a curfew when you're at the casino until four hours before you have to report to your job.
C'mon, man, you're interfering with our self-actualization process. The kids? What about OUR needs?

I don't know where you guys were raised but my kids didn't get to roam the streets at all hours of the night.
They are 29, 27 and 20 years old and never been in jail. I was there to tuck them in at night and tell them nighttime stories. There are some folks who just don't know how to be parents.
Fortunately, I had good examples from my parents.
