Well, I will take a shot at guessing. The house on the street behind the park reminds me of the streets leading east off Woodward near downtown. I think at one time there was a park between Erskine and Alfred, John R and Brush.

I was thinking along those lines as well. Perhaps a gander at the City Directories or other Burton resources is in order.

No I am looking at a Detroit map from the forties and the oval parks on the west side of downtown were called Crawford Park and Elton PArk.
