I hope they've performed an excorcism on that corner before building a church there. LOL That corner has had a lot of action with the liquor store, the Gas Station (gay bar), Outlaw (gay leather bar), Heaven (gay after hours) and the BackStage (gay resturant). Man if that corner coulld talk!! LOL | ||

As a child, I remember seeing some church off Woodward, around 7. Id say it was at least a few blocks East of Woodward though, but visible. I just remember all the gargoyles on it. Haven't seen it in a long time. I think its gone. Seems to me like its not a real stable area for churches. Ive seen one or 2 others in the area that were in pretty bad shape. | ||

A big black megachurch in a Chaldeantown community. So far the construction workers are very slow with the building project and its going through lots of red tape. | ||

There's been some progress, albeit slow in coming. I drive past it every day and in the last month of so they've had some building materials dropped off and a chain link fence erected around the entire site. Mega church, eh? I wondered what the sloped area in the steel structure was for. I was thinking movie theater or something. | ||

Perfecting Church will soon relocate to 7 Mile & Woodward; the new campus (over 20 acres) will include a 4,300-seat sanctuary, parking structure, office building and market rate condominiums http://perfectingchurch.org/ SOON doesn't mean too much second ebenezer down on mcnichols and 75 started their church later than perfecting and have been in there since september perfecting has security lights on at night and a security car, so somebody has to be paying the bills |
