Looks like LB and Kwame finally agree on the plan for Cobo. Lets hope they pull through. http://www.wxyz.com/news/story .aspx?content_id=2bfadd37-7af4 -4c63-a91f-e389dbd4d380 |

Yeah, we need to get this done...NOW! Here are some economic impact numbers of some of our recent big events: Detroit/St.Louis World Series: $19 million Superbowl Economic Impact: $273.9 million ...Auto show: $550 million (that's each year!) We can't afford to lose our "premiere auto show" status... hmmm...I hope wxyz has more information that they didn't share, because the information contained in that clip didn't sound much like there was any kind of an agreement... Also, consider that the news yesterday was that the Cobo expansion would probably have to wait... http://www.crainsdetroit.com/a pps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/2007 1207/REG/71207004 |

Sounded like the WXYZ story was simply that the two sides were now better communicating with each other toward some middle ground, as opposed to each side simply having its own idea of what it should be. They didn't say anything about an idea being reached. |
