"what aquarium" I asked the lady with the sign in the GP parade today. "check out the website" she says.

Has anyone gone down to Belle Isle as of late to see what the building or the grounds around it looks like?

The BIGPA donated $100,000 the first year to fund improvements other than the track and associated event needs. That sum will go up every year. All net proceeds from the event will be set aside non-race related island improvements in addition to the $100,000+ donated annually.

And yes it was very public. It was part of the negotiation with City Council and BIGPA played it up in media.
